Medication Technician/Caregiver

Duties

• Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely following all state healthcare regulations and HIPAA guidelines
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess residents’ health status
• Assist residents with daily activities including mobility, personal hygiene, and grooming while ensuring manual handling safety protocols are followed
• Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and memory care strategies for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
• Maintain detailed medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical records
• Recognize and respond promptly to medical emergencies by applying CPR or basic life support techniques when necessary
• Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to update care plans and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including HIPAA and state Board of Nursing standards
