We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician/Caregiver to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional medication management and personalized care to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care in compliance with all regulatory standards.
Duties
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely following all state healthcare regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess residents’ health status
- Assist residents with daily activities including mobility, personal hygiene, and grooming while ensuring manual handling safety protocols are followed
- Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and memory care strategies for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
- Maintain detailed medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical records
- Recognize and respond promptly to medical emergencies by applying CPR or basic life support techniques when necessary
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to update care plans and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including HIPAA and state Board of Nursing standards
