Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications accurately following medical documentation protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess health status and report any abnormalities promptly
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and feeding—especially in cases requiring tube feeding or catheter care
• Maintain detailed medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner for seamless documentation of medication administration and patient progress
• Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and senior care by implementing tailored caregiving strategies
• Conduct routine assessments based on physiology and anatomy knowledge to support overall patient health and well-being
• Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care in acute or home & community care environments
