Senior Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide exceptional care and support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have background in senior care, home health, or long-term care, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities within a supportive and professional environment.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Dispense medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs (potentially assist with meal planning) and preparation
• Provide specialized care for clients, including memory care activities
• Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers to ensure safety during mobility tasks where apic
• Maintain cleanliness of resident living areas through light cleaning duties
• Support clients' emotional well-being through compassionate interaction and social engagement

Requirements

• Experience in senior care, assisted living, child care, home or community care, or nursing home environments
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
• Strong observational skills for patient safety
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, and the Lonestar team
• Compassionate attitude dedicated to providing respectful and dignified care
• Ability to work independently
• CPR & First Aid certification’s a plus

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
